Sharon Lazar (Graduate Student Member, IEEE) received the Bachelors degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Kerala Technical University, India, in 2020, and the Masters degree in Industrial Drives and Control from Kerala Technical University, India, in 2022.
She is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Adelaide, Australia, under the supervision of Prof. Nesimi Ertugrul. Her research focuses on data-driven modelling, efficiency optimization, and state estimation in integrated electric motor–pump systems.
Her current work explores adaptive control strategies, efficiency mapping using iso-efficiency contours, and sensor-less estimation techniques enabled by AI-driven approaches. Her broader research interests include motor control, system modelling, and sustainable energy technologies. She is particularly passionate about contributing to the development of smarter, more efficient energy systems that align with the evolving demands of modern world.
