Nick Black

Head of Fleet, Logistics, & EVCi

Ausgrid

Nick Black is the Head of Logistics, Fleet, Supply Chain, and Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure (EVCI) at Ausgrid. With over 15 years’ experience across energy networks, operational technology, energy regulation, and new business, he specialises in turning complex policy and infrastructure challenges into practical outcomes.

Nick leads Ausgrid’s fleet, logistics, and supply chain operations that support the delivery of critical network infrastructure, while also driving the development of new EV charging models across the network.

He is a strong advocate for open-access public EV charging that puts the customer at the centre, enabling competition at the kerb and improving charging access for households without off-street parking. At Ausgrid, Nick has also led the development of innovative infrastructure models, including pioneering power pole and distribution kiosk leasing frameworks to enable kerbside EV charging.

Nick is passionate about building empowered teams that turn strategy into real-world infrastructure that supports Australia’s electrified energy future.
