Currently the sector lead for Manufacturing & Energy, he was previously the Chief Technology Officer at Microsoft ANZ, and has held multiple worldwide lead roles in energy, manufacturing and resources, sustainability, IoT, security, and digital transformation in global technology companies.

Rik has spoken at conferences around the world and is a published author. He has sat on multiple industry boards and standards groups in energy, manufacturing, sustainability, IoT, digital twins and digital skills, and is currently a delegate in the Australian Climate Leaders Coalition. Rik has an MBA focused on international leadership, holds the MIEMA and CEnv sustainability accreditations, and is a Gartner Peer Ambassador.
