Elaine Luc is an energy economist with applied expertise in the application of data analytics and optimisation modelling to elicit insights as to the dynamics of electricity generation, storage, transmission and distribution in the National Electricity Market (NEM).
As a lead energy market modeller at HoustonKemp, Elaine has played a key role in the economic modelling of electricity investments in the NEM to support policy advice in relation to the implications of the transition to renewable resources. Her analyses have been used to inform the economic benefits of existing and proposed large-scale transmission and storage projects across the NEM.
